WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Wolfe Co. Search & Rescue Team responded to reports of an injured man in Red River Gorge around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
In a Facebook post, they said the injured man was near the Jump Rock along the Suspension Bridge Connector Trail in Red River Gorge.
According to the post, the man jumped off of the Jump Rock, and when he hit the water, dislocated both of his shoulders.
The post continued, stating another person with the man quickly reached him by kayak, and he clung on as others assisted him to shore.
The Wolfe Co. Search & Rescue team said they, along with Menifee Co. Ambulance Service, were able to provide the injured man with medical care before having him airlifted for additional assistance.
