CORAL SPRINGS, FL – It’s not known for fancy dining, but a Coral Springs restaurant in an aging strip mall has made the list of Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021.
Arun’s Indian Kitchen is #6 on the list, which the crowd-sourced reviews app and website announced Thursday.
The restaurant on West Sample Road – considered more of a take-out place by most patrons – has made the list five other times.
Opened in 2014, the place serves dishes from northern Indian cuisine, including favorites such as chicken tikka masala and chicken korma.
With only a handful of tables in the dining room, an oversized menu hanging over the order counter, and a clear view into the steaming kitchen, it’s a favorite spot for many loyal customers who have written more than 1,400 reviews.
Earlier this month, a customer from Weston wrote on Yelp about Arun’s:
“I'm almost repeating the obvious at this point, since we have all gotten to the same conclusion. This is a wonderful Indian restaurant, the best takeout one I've been to in South Florida.”
But with so many options to eat out these days, not everyone, of course, is a fan.
Another customer from Coconut Creek also wrote this month on Yelp about the restaurant:
“Everything was tasty, but you should probably save yourself the aggravation and order everything vegetarian, and pick up a chicken at Publix or Costco. Each "meat" dish had no more than five morsels (small bites) of meat, and that included the chicken dishes.”
