In her most recent viral video, Bethany claimed that scrambling eggs in boiling water will make the “fluffiest scrambled eggs.”

The video showed her pouring whisked eggs into a pan of boiled water which she gently moved around until they cooked through.

She then scooped the eggs out with a drainer and served them straight onto her plate.

“It’s almost impossible to overcook your eggs and you’ll get fluffy ones every time,” Bethany said.

The chef compared the method to egg drop soup, but viewers who felt the need to comment did not seem to be drooling over the wet eggs.

“You could not pay me any amount of money to boil [scrambled] eggs,” one person replied.

“Oh no, not with my eggs,” another said.

“Never ever trying this and that’s that,” someone else commented.

However, others noted that the technique can be a helpful alternative for those cooking without oil.

“I’m gonna try it coz I have Stomach [ulcer] and I’m not allowed to eat oil,” a person wrote.

The cooking tip is especially timely as olive oil prices continue to rise.

shortage of olive oil has made prices of the pantry staple skyrocket — so much so that it’s being dubbed “liquid gold.”

To save money, chefs can instead opt for vegetable oil, canola (rapseed) oil, sunflower oil or sesame oil.
