A woman who was prone to gorging on whole chocolate cakes, oven chips and pizza in the middle of the night has managed to shift seven stone - after completely altering her habits. The moment when Teresa Belton, 33, decided to change was when she saw a picture of herself at a Christmas get together and realised how big she had become.
At her heaviest, Teresa weighed more than 20st and was a size 22. Every night she’d eat lots of food after putting daughter Marlee to bed, waking up to sneak downstairs for a midnight feast. She'd also indulge in up to five takeaways a week.
Teresa said: “I used to get up in the middle of the night for a midnight feast and eat whole cakes and massive plates of chips. I just ate and ate and kept snacking even after a full day of food."

She added: “I didn’t really realise how big I had got because I avoided full-length mirrors and having my photo taken so that photo shocked me. I’m so proud of myself for sticking to healthy food and I feel fabulous. My daughter is happy for me too, but she misses her ‘fat mum’ because the cuddles are not as good now.”
She has now slimmed down to an impressive 13st 1lb and a slender size 12 and says she has never been happier. Teresa made the incredible transformation by switching her regular takeaways to homemade versions, such as quarter pound burger, chilli cheese fries and stuck to 1,800 calories a day to start off with and walks for 45 minutes a day.
Teresa, a cleaner, from Thetford, Norfolk, has now shed the pounds to reach 13st 1lbs and is on track for her 11st and a half goal. She’s hoping to have surgery next year to remove her loose skin: “I’m so proud of myself.”
Diet before
Breakfast: Sausage and egg baguette, hashbrowns, packet of crisps
Lunch: Big Mac and large fries or frozen pizza and oven chips
Dinner: Takeaway chicken fillet burger, chips and cheese, burger sauce, mozzarella sticks
Snacks: Chocolate, sausage rolls, Walkers crisps, chocolate cake
Diet after
Breakfast: Greek yoghurt and fruit
Lunch: Homemade naan bread, homemade kebab meat, lettuce
Dinner: Chicken tikka salad
Snacks: Squares
