Chamba, September 22
A woman and a girl were killed after they slipped and fell into a gorge in Bhadela panchayat in Chamba on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Tripta (32) and Isha (16), both residents of Bhadela.
The duo had reportedly gone to cut grass in nearby villages when they were attacked by wasps. They started running here and there to protect themselves.
When Isha was about to fall into the gorge, Tripta tried to save her but both slipped. Tripta died on the spot, while Isha died at the Civil Hospital, Kihar.—OC
