Wendy Williams is back.
The daytime talk show host, 55, returned from her show’s coronavirus-forced hiatus to give her co-hosts —how she refers to her fans — an update from home, filming a 15-minute-long livestream from inside her New York City apartment.
Williams kicked off the bizarre video, which includes her eating various foods such as lollipop lamb chops and soft shell crab, by discussing her 5-feet by-5-inches Betty Boop statue.
“I purchased her as white skin, but a black parent in a black household, you want images of yourself in your household,” she explained. “I did this with my spray-painter years ago…Although Betty does have baby hair, so you know, maybe she is a sister in her own way.”
The newly legally single Williams then picked up a lollipop lamb chop and requested — in a seemingly sexual way — someone off-screen watch her eat.
“Watch me eat. Watch me eat,” she said, licking her lips. “You know you want to watch.”
In an Instagram post from earlier in the day, Williams indicated that DJ Boof, “Tristan, AJ, & plenty more” would be around her apartment for the taping. It’s unclear if she was directing the food request at “Boofy,” but he does make an appearance at the end of the video.
Eventually, Williams transitioned into her signature segment “Hot Topics” and discussed her recent appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” in which she discussed not thinking about sex during quarantine.
“As much as a wanted woman as I am,” she said during her livestream, “I’m not thinking about that. I don’t want anybody over here. I think condoms are something random. You know, what about the sweat? The shower?”
Williams expressed some disapproval with her Dr. Oz interview, which was cut off for Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s press conference. She said she wished Oz showed more of what she was saying to give more context.
“I went there for two specific things,” she said. “Not I love Italian food, or whatever the hell I said. I was going to ask about single people, and what do we do, and the clothing because I don’t believe that clothing is clean.”
She added, “I wish he had posted the sexual and the material.”
Williams then transitioned into her next topic — people partying despite stay-at-home orders — by nearly choking on a hot sauce-covered piece of soft shell crab and offering the “tentacles” to her cats, Chitchat and Myway.
“People are partying, acting a fool,” Williams noted while taking a sip of her Orangina to recover from the choking scare. “You all better have several seats and sit down. That social distancing, it’s so real it’s unbelievable.”
She also briefly touched upon Kenny Rogers’ death, noting “a lot of people are dying.”
Williams ended her video with a cameo from Boof and called out designer Vera Wang for asking her to “button up.”
