The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society offers an open house on the first Friday of every month from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The dog and cat shelters at 2675 Index St., Washougal, will be open to the public and no appointment is needed. Attendees can visit with adoptable dogs and cats, meet humane society staff and volunteers and see the facilities.
