Brooklyn Beckham is constantly criticized for the cooking videos he posts on Instagram.
Beckham has received hate for everything from his grilled cheese sandwich to his spaghetti bolognese.
But Beckham told Insider he's unfazed, and he's "working his bum off" to learn new cooking skills.

When it comes to his cooking, Brooklyn Beckham can't seem to catch a break. He's criticized on everything from his pasta recipes to his grilled cheese technique, and some journalists have even demanded that he "stay out of the kitchen."

But Beckham — who recently sat down with Insider to discuss his new partnership with the kitchen-appliance company Typhur — isn't fazed by the haters.

"To be honest, I'm used to the hate," Beckham said. "It doesn't really bother me. Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me."

The online criticism began when Beckham, who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, launched the Facebook show "Cookin' With Brooklyn" in December 2021.

Beckham continues to share videos of himself whipping up dishes on Instagram, where followers have taken issue with his Sunday roast ("too raw"), fried chicken ("too much expensive avocado oil"), and spaghetti bolognese ("why is there a cork in it?").

But when asked if he had a message for his critics, Beckham said to keep the comments coming.

"My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down," he said. "I'm doing my thing and working my bum off. So they can keep writing what they want, but it's not going to bother me — I'm just going to keep doing my thing."

The budding chef also has some famous friends coming to his defense. Snoop Dogg, who has been close with Beckham's family for 30 years, recently told Insider that he was a "great kid" and praised Beckham for forging a different path from his parents.

"If you doin' what you supposed to be doin', they supposed to hate, that comes with the territory," Snoop Dogg told Insider. "He's got great DNA, he's got his mama and his daddy, so he'll be just fine — and he's got an uncle like me to give him direction. I've been a part of his life since he was a baby."

"I love when kids spin off from their parents and do things that feel good to them," the rapper added. "He doesn't want to play soccer, he doesn't want to be a singer, he wants to do his chef thing."

Beckham said he plans to keep improving his skills with the help of Typhur's sous vide station and air fryer.

"I'm not a professional at all, I'm just starting out," he added. "So I'm just gonna continue doing my videos and see where it takes me."
