Zonta Club of the Royal Gorge Service Project to support local small businesses and St. Thomas More Hospital Employees - Canon City Daily Record

susahmadang.blogspot.com

Please join Zonta’s campaign to show appreciation to all St. Thomas More employees with local gift cards. They are inviting you to show your appreciation to a local healthcare worker and a local business by purchasing a gift card/certificate, they will do the rest to get it into their hands.

During the pandemic businesses have suffered due to closures and decreased numbers of customers. Healthcare workers have also taken on heavier workloads due to COVID.

Purchasing a $25 gift card/certificate is a win-win act of giving much-needed support to St. Thomas More employees while at the same time supporting local small businesses in Cañon City, Florence and Penrose.

If you would like to participate, purchase a gift card at a local business. You can leave it with the business and a Zonta member will collect the gift cards and deliver them to the hospital. If you would prefer to mail the gift card, please mail it to Zonta Club of Royal Gorge, P.O. Box 1593, Cañon City, CO 81215.

Gift cards will be put in a greeting card that states that this gift card has been donated by a member of the community in appreciation for their hard work and dedication. If you would like to add your own greeting card we will make sure that they are delivered together. Gift cards will be distributed at an employee recognition celebration where employees will be recognized for their service.

If you are a Fremont County business, and you’d like more information to participate, please email: zontaroyalgorge@gmail.com

The Zonta Club of Royal Gorge is a member of Zonta International. Our mission is to empower women to improve their status through education, economic stability, health, and wellness.

Zonta is dedicated to helping others. One of their service projects is donating personal items for women in need because of domestic violence. The items are various self-care items including dental care, toiletries, washcloths, and towels donated by our members. We support SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) at St. Thomas More Hospital by supplying sweatsuits, blankets, and other needed supplies for the victims of sexual assault. They also offer scholarships for local women and girls.
