Realtor elves are roaming neighborhoods again this year scouting for houses with the most jubilant, festive Christmas yard displays.
The Royal Gorge Association of Realtors presents its second annual Holiday Lighting Contest that runs now through Dec. 22.
“We were surprised at how many people participated and were surprised to be nominated,” said Peggy Dunn, event coordinator. “We hope this year is even better.”
Dunn and other realtors and affiliates on the committee will present one selected yard owner each week with a holiday prize and their yard will be featured in the Daily Record. The grand prize winner, who will win a special surprise gift, will be announced Dec. 22.
The goal of the contest not only is to spread Christmas spirit but also to get people out looking at lights and displays and enjoying what Cañon City has to offer.
To nominate a yard, call the Royal Gorge Association of Realtors at 719-275-6560. Previous winners are not eligible.
