FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - A teen visits the Summit City to show kids a unique twist on traditional desserts and the use of science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STREAM) education in culinary concepts.

From Jacksonville, Florida, 14-year-old Simone Bridges travels across the country to inspire kids to follow their dreams.

At a young age, Bridges is a baker, speaker, author, entrepreneur and an advocate for youth 'STREAM'.

What is STREAM? STREAM stands for science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

With her platform, she has created a baking kit to provide all aspects of STREAM in the process.

Bridges came to the Summit City a few times to speak with the local organizations including Black Girls Rock Inc.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the last time Bridges visited she spoke with young girls on how important it is to incorporate STREAM in their everyday lives.

An activity she showed them included the baking kit that she sells on her website called Goddess Food Factory.

With Bridges success came recognition from all around the country.

She was a special guest on the Steve Harvey Show and she is one of ten kids who are a part of the Lebron James 'Always Believe' campaign.

What's next for the successful teen?

Bridges is now working on a new television series where she will co-host a a show where she helps hand-picked kids on how to grow their existing business.
