JASON CUMMINGS insisted he would celebrate helping his club into their first national final for ten years with a batch of chicken nuggets.

The former HibsRangers and Dundee star was part of the Central Coast Mariners side who have reached their first A-League Grand Final for a decade with a semi-final aggregate win over Adelaide.

Ex-Scotland striker Cummings, who is now an important Australia star after switching international allegiances, didn't score but provided an assist on a night where Central Coast Mariners attracted a record crowd of 20,059.

They will now play Melbourne City next month in the final in Sydney's CommBank Stadium and Cummings planned to toast the win in unusual fashion.

Asked if he would be having a few beers to celebrate, Cummings replied: "I doubt it mate. I doubt it. I'll maybe get a McDonalds or something...20 chicken nuggets!

"It feels amazing. The crowd here was special. Being sold out made all the difference for us.

"I'm so proud of these boys.

"It's been an incredible season and we deserve to go to the final. We got the job done and now we are in the final.

"It's not all about scoring goals. As long as I am helping the team, we got the win and now we are in the Grand Final. I am over the moon."

Cummings is a target for rich Indian side Mohun Bagan and has been told he will be allowed to leave by his club, but not until after the Grand Final.

A transfer battle could ensue for his services too, with rivals Mumbai City also reported to have interest in him.

Current I-League champions Mohun Bagan have offered Cummings a staggering £9,500-a-week to join them.

But Mumbai City, who have former Aberdeen and Rangers forward Greg Stewart in their team too, will hope their backing by the City Group (who also own Manchester City and New York City FC) could convince the striker to sign for them instead.

Uruguayan star Adrian Luna, who currently plays for Kerala Blasters, is the highest earner in the ISL at the moment on a healthy £13,000 weekly wage.
