Syracuse, N.Y. -- Ryan Hollenbeck scored six times and Baldwinsville gorged on a nine-goal buffet in the third quarter to rally past Liverpool 15-8 in the Section III Class A boys lacrosse title at Cicero-North Syracuse.
The title was the third in a row for Baldwinsville, not counting the Covid-canceled 2020 season. The Bees (16-1) will take on Section IV champion Corning in the first round of the state regionals June 4 at C-NS.
“I think it was just a lot of built-up offense. We didn’t get what we wanted in the first half. I think third quarter, we started sticking it,” Baldwinsville’s Keegan Lynch said of the third-quarter run. “It was just an outburst. We got hot pretty quick. It was really fun. We were all jumping around, having a great time. You could feel the tide start to turn our way.”
